As light fades to dark the Púca Festival awakens your spirit with three breathtaking nights of Halloween music, fire, feasting and mischief. Set up to celebrate the origins of Halloween in Ireland, the brand-new Festival will bring some of the world’s best projection artists to Trim illuminating the Castle and surrounds in a stunning free display. Alongside this visitors can enjoy a trip to the food and craft market where the best of local produce is available, and every night at 8pm the Trim Castle Concerts bring some of Ireland’s best musicians to the Porchfields. From the popular Jerry Fish’s Electric Sideshow to DJ Kormac and the Irish Chamber Orchestra to our Breaking Tunes night with Just Mustard, the Pillow Queens and Æ MAK the joint will be jumping!
The Festival opens just days after our Trim Trad Festival ( Oct 24th to Oct 28th ) on the 31st with a fiery procession through Trim and the arrival of the spirits, our band of mischief makers led by Púca with The Morrigan the dark, Boann the light, The Fear Dearg the mischief and Fionn mac Cumhaill. The Festival also takes place across Athboy and Drogehda including performances by David Keenan and Lisa O’Neill and a music/projection commission across 3 town centre locations.
