Getting Festival Ready – Shop Windows

Trim Tourism Network are busy planning this year’s up-coming Trim Trad Festival which is taking place from October 24th – 28th and the team at Curated Place & Failte Ireland are busy planning the new Púca Festival taking place Oct 31st to Nov 2nd both in the historical town of Trim, Co. Meath. These are exciting festivals for Trim and will encourage lots more visitors to our area. The Púca Festival will also be taking place in Athboy & Drogheda between October 31st & Nov 2nd.

To help decorate our town and create a musical, festival atmosphere we are offering businesses/shops the opportunity to get their business window & display decorated for FREE. Yes FREE…… ( Limited number – Entries are now closed for this )

We have partnered up with the art departments in our local secondary schools – Scoil Mhuire & Boyne Community School – to help up coordinate this project. The team at Curated Place, the event management company charged with delivering the new Púca Festival, have supported the purchase of painting materials for the window displays and under the guidance and supervision of the art teachers, Transition Year ( TY ) art students will decorate business /shop windows with the theme of the Trim Trad Festival and Púca Festival. There will be an overall prize for the best shop window which will be sponsored by Trim Branch of Drogheda Credit Union.

Business owners will be involved in all aspects of the design and TY students assigned to the business will meet up to discuss ideas and options. The display will remain in place for the duration of the festivals and afterwards the same TY students will return to the business to help clean up and return the window to the previous layout.

Unfortunately we are unable to decorate licensed pubs, but bunting for both festivals will be available for participating venues.

Our volunteers are currently visiting shops but if we miss you and you want to get involved please email info@trimtradfest.ie or complete the form below; Closing date Monday 23rd September 2019 5pm ( Limited number – Entries are now closed for this)
