Sharon Shannon is an Irish musician best known for her work with the button accordion and for her fiddle technique. She also plays the tin whistle and melodeon. Her self-titled debut album, in 1991, Sharon Shannon was the best-selling album of traditional Irish music ever released here. Beginning with Irish folk music, her work demonstrates a wide-ranging number of musical influences. She won the lifetime achievement award at the 2009 Meteor Awards. Many more great achievements have been reached in her lifetime.

Alan Connor is a multi instrumentalist who has served as right hand man to International Artists Sharon Shannon & Jack L over the past 10 years. He has toured extensively all over the world including the USA, Australia, Asia, Canada & all over Europe. He has also played with artists such as Imelda May, Shane MacGowan, Something Happens, Mary Black, Steve Earle, Mary Coughlan, Frances Black, Finbar Furey and many more

Gluais

Gluais, a trad band from Trim based out of Scoil Mhuire comprises of 40 student members under the direction of Music Teacher and Trim Tourism Network member Mícheál Kerr, will be supporting Sharon Shannon on the main stage at Sunday’s highlight concert in the Castle Arch Hotel. Recently returning from their US tour where they represented Ireland in the Children of the World in Harmony Festival Gluais are well know throughout the music scene and are rapidly becoming a household name.
